How we price: every figure on this site is all-in

The promise, in one paragraph

Every price on this site is all-in as published at its source, stated in the currency it is actually charged in, and carries the date we read it and where. If a figure has parts — taxes, fees, per-person versus per-vehicle, what a package includes — the basis is stated beside the figure, not discovered later. When we cannot meet that bar for a number, we do not publish the number.

What “all-in” means here

• The figure is the figure. No sub-line fees revealed after the headline, no “+taxes and charges” appearing at the last step. Where a source itself adds fees later, we say so beside the price rather than reproducing the trick.
• The basis is printed. Per person or per vehicle; per course or per hour; what a package includes and excludes; party size and season where they change the number. Above every price table sits a basis line saying what every figure below it includes.
• Currency first, conversions labelled. A charge levied in US dollars is published in US dollars. If we ever print a conversion, it carries the exchange rate and the date of that rate — a conversion is arithmetic, not a price.
• India-side mechanics are named, never buried. Where TCS or the mandatory ZIC insurance affects what a trip really costs, it appears as its own named line with its own source — never silently folded in, never silently omitted.

Observed, never predicted

We publish observations: figures we actually read, each dated and sourced. We do not publish forecasts, “prices expected to rise”, or booking-urgency arithmetic — a prediction has no source a reader can check, and this site publishes no figure a reader cannot check.

When we re-check a figure, the superseded reading is kept in our fact ledger, dated — history accumulates and is never overwritten, and wherever a figure has history the page shows every recorded point. (The ledger itself is published as a browsable page — you can read every row, including who checked it and when.) The range is the lowest and highest we have recorded — it is not a market estimate.

What we refuse to do with prices

• No fabricated reference prices. No strikethroughs, no “was/now”, no “save 30%” — unless both figures are dated, sourced readings in our ledger, which so far none have been.
• No scarcity or countdown theatre. No “only 2 left”, no ticking clocks. Even where such claims are true somewhere, a reader cannot check them here.
• No disclaimed numbers. If a source says its own figures are “indicative” or “approximate and subject to change”, we treat them as not-prices and do not restate them. A number we print is a number someone stood behind.
• No prices behind an account, a tier, or a members’ club. Verified facts are never gated. The concierge monetises service; the facts stay public.

When a figure goes stale

Facts age. Every figure carries its read date in the sentence, so staleness is never hidden — and figures shown with their price history wear a visible re-check flag once their newest reading passes 90 days, applied when the page is rebuilt. A stale date on this site looks stale on purpose.

The numbers above are counted from our fact ledger at publish time. Every underlying figure carries its source and read date on the page where it appears.
